So when it came time to roll over, Sutton decided to sit up instead. Several months later then she decided to roll over. Well now that its time to crawl, she's decided that she wants to walk. She hasn't taken steps on her own yet and still needs to work on her balance quite a bit, but Mommy has given up on the idea that she will ever crawl...at least not until she's figured out how to walk. About a week ago we all thought she was going to crawl at any moment. She would get on all fours and rock and she even figured out how to move her arms. It was just a matter of getting the legs in sync. Since then though she had altered her efforts...she now has decided that she wants to stand up. So now when she's on all fours she straightens her legs and walks her hands backwards into a down-ward dog yoga pose and tries with all of her might to stand straight up!
She hasn't gotten it yet and usually ends up back on her tushy, but it won't be long. Even without the traditional crawl she manages to get around...she has a roll, sit up, pivot combo going on that gets her from place to place. She's nearly impossible to get to sit anymore because all she wants to do is stand and she'll pull up on any and everything. She's taken several face plants or back-wards tumbles but none of it seems to phase her. One things for sure, she's fearless.
