Well, its official, Sutton is mobile! About a week ago she decided to give this crawling thing a shot and man is she good at it. She is all over the place, but it isn't even the crawling that is such a change, its more the climbing and pulling up. She will try to pull up on nearly anything, including me! She has also already tried to take steps from one object to the next and cruises along the furniture with ease. She also still insists on trying to stand up in the middle of the room without assistance. She has yet to do and usually ends up in a Sumo position, but it won't be long! But with the crawling means that she can now get to me and my stuff, which has definitely been an adjustment. I am still loving being a big sister and Mommy loves to see how close we are already. One of our favorite times of the day is first thing in the morning when Sutton and Mommy come to wake me up and Sutton and I play in my bed for a while...we just yell and giggle and tickle one another. Mommy thinks the best sound ever is the sound of our giggles.

Sutton did great at her 9 month Dr appointment. She is right on track developmentally and is extremely sociable according to the Dr (like we needed a Dr to tell us that...the girl never stops jabbering!). She is 19lbs & 4oz and 27.25 inches long...I was 18lbs & 9 oz and about the same length so Sutton clearly has a little weight on me, however she is still only in the 50th percentile for both so the Dr was very happy. Poor girl inherited our Momma's thighs though...Mommy says most of her 19lbs is hiding in those tree trunks of hers! Sutton's newest "trick" is clapping and she does it quite a bit...especially when she is proud of herself. She is also getting pretty good at eating and feeding herself table food...good luck trying to eat in front of her anymore without sharing! Her teacher at daycare said that the other day she actually took her paci out and threw it across the room and just looked at her like, "are you gonna share???". Oh, and speaking of her paci and sharing, that's another new little "trick" of hers, she now likes to share her paci with you. She will take it from her mouth, grab your mouth (often times like a fish hook...ouch!) and try to shove the paci in your mouth. Its pretty cute at first but man that fish hook can start to hurt after a bit! She has also learned how to give kisses, wave and I swear she tried to say "doggie" the other day. Although it sounded more like "oggie", the dogs has just come into the room and she said it as she was cruising their way, so besides Momma and Dadda, I think we'll chock this up as her first word!
Of course Mommy had to get 9 month pictures taken...the last 2 are definite laughers...

(Who is this angel??? Clearly a devil in disguise!)
(To know her is to know that this is totally classic Sutton...she is a goofball if I've ever met one)
(This was the last one of the session...think she's DONE!?!?)
