It was a childhood family tradition of Mommy's to decorate a massive gingerbread house (made from scratch by grandma of course!) each Christmas. It was something they loved doing and something she even continued to do all through high school with her friends (those houses were raffled off and the money was donated to needy families). This year then we had the chance to carry on the tradition...to the next generation! It was so much fun and everyone got involved. I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful family that can really come together and have a lot of good laughs.
